Gordon Falls, New Brunswick


Located near Elgin, this photograph was taken in the fall of 2007.

This is a gorgeous spot I've swum at many times... The water in this picture is extremely low. The pool at near the bottom of the frame is usually a cool 'seltzer pool' but the water is so low... You can jump from not only the very sides of the fall into the surf but from pretty high up on the left side facing the fall and meeting it's entry. A cool thing here is to do a little rock climbing right from deep water near the falls because the rock facing curves up inward and has "oatmeal cookie with raisins" properties which make it fun to try with little risk.
